Week of 3/12/18

In my Writing classes, we will continue to use our Being a Writer series to learn and practice the writing process.  We will listen to some fabulous examples of literature and will continue to express our own thoughts and ideas in written form!

Currently, we are working on all types of Fiction!  We will be writing and posting fictional stories to Kidblog in the near future.  Be sure to check out all the Informational Essays on Kidblog.  Click on the link on the left of the page to learn how to access
this site:)

Grammatically speaking, we will be wrapping up our unit on Verbs with the review of Subject/Verb Agreement!  We will then discuss Formal vs. Informal Language.  Shortly after, we will be learning all about Adjectives!

Students will receive their next Spelling list (words with the /aw/ sound) on Monday.  All packets will be due no later than Friday, March 23rd, test day.  Please note that any student failing to turn in a complete and CORRECT Spelling packet by the due date will have 5 points deducted from his/her Spelling test grade.  Please practice these words with your child as often as possible!  Students can also practice their words by going to www.spellingcity.com/jseibert/!

Have a fantastic week, Exceptional Writers!
